 Yes Resign.......But Which One?
Back to Full Blog

Senator Harry Reid of Nevada said the war was lost. The extreme right like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh have called for his resignation because he is hurting the troops in Iraq. Now for those who actually agree with that, well.....you make me wonder.

It is a fact that George Bush sent these men to Iraq, not Harry Reid. George Bush decided to give up the fight to find Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan. Bin Laden admitted he was behind the 9/11 Massacre. Then troops were redirected to Iraq based on information that has not even be verified as of TODAY.

No person, either republican or democrat wants troops to die. That is why we should bring them home TODAY. It is repugnant that we engage in all sorts of chicanery to bamboozle the American people. Yes, someone should resign........but its not Harry Reid.

Art: How are we gonna get all that equipment out of there within the time line proposed by the democrats.....or anyone talking withdrawl right now. Don't get me wrong, I believe we should get out and as quickly as possible.....but geez. Let's get that stuff back and not let it be used against us later.

I agree with you mostly, Art. We are now putting our troops in between warring factions in a civil war. Bush and the Congress that approved his actions are 100% responsible. So Reid who voted for Bush's war powers should join Bush in resigning, as should Hillary Clinton, John McCain, John Kerry and the other members of a cowering Congress that in 2002 allowed this President unchecked power to make war on a Nation that never attacked us in order to get re-elected.

You know Big Chris, I will not say he is a toad (lol), but I would say, you are right he probably will never resign. And what is deal with Gonzalez. Is that a mess or what?

Gecko,

You pose a very valid question. In the words of Al Gonzalez, I just don't know.

Prank, I cannot disagree with you at all. If we are doing it that way, then most of the Congress must resign along with Bush. I personally would like to see that happen. I am amazed at the level of incompetence in Washington, D.C.

Art, not for nothing but I pay as little attention to that pack of money grubbing clowns as I can...when GW was allowed to fix the last election and stay in, I went totally south on the deal, no pun intended with the "south" comment... BC

The mess with Gonzalez is unbelievable.

Part of his job is to attend meetings.
He cannot remember anything that goes on during those meetings.
So he is not doing his job.

I don't understand why he still has the job.

If I am missing something, then someone please explain it to me.

The pun worked very well Big Chris. You are entitled to ignore him. More than half the country is trying to do the same.
|<   <<   >>   >|

by Art M. (PM , CC ) on Tuesday April 24, 2007 @ 5:40 PM

He still has the job for the same reason Harriet Myers or Meires was nominated for Supreme Court. Because the president says he supports them. It makes no sense. Even republicans know its hurting the party.

You took the words right out of mouth. The sad part about it is he will never admit to his mistakes, especially not this one.

Hailey,

Does this mean that you are doing better. Actually Hailey I choose not to take a test that pegs me as a liberal or conservative. I have issues with both choices. What I am is a man who fairly looks at a problem. Unfortunately we have far too many people who see things from the perspective of conservative or liberal colored lenses. Most of the time the underlying question for either is "What's in it for me?"

Art, his comment regarding the troops and those people's response to it, reminds me of the post that Whit did on patriotism. It is appalling that one's perceived allegiance to this country can be taken into question when one questions the actions of it's government, or in his case, his colleagues.

Patriotism now is being used like Nazi propaganda. If you are not on the side of American (Bush and his administration) regarding the war, then you are not a real American and are demeaning the troops' efforts.

Is this the slow slide to fascism?

You said it, I totally agree. Ipray for our troops everyday. the sad thing is my 14yr old wants to be in the army like his dad was. my husband and I are just glad he's too young to join now. WHO KNOWS THE WAY YOU KNOW WHO IS DOING THINGS HE MAY NOT BE TOO YOUNG SOON.

IT WAS GREAT READING YOUR BLOG, ALWAYS GOOD TO HEAR FROM AN INTELLIGENT BROTHER. WHO'S NOT CURSING THERE HEAD OFF. HAVE A GREAT DAY

Art... as always... I am the last to know! Guess I didn't realize you were posting lately! I adore your thought process... and I guess when it comes to politics, while I certainly have my views... I rarely voice them... since it is my philosophy... that UNLESS you are actively involved in the trying to effect the political system... your words don't carry much weight. I mean--- like me--- I have my beliefs--- but what have I truly done to evoke political change??? I love your blog Art... so glad to see you are still posting! Much love... Macey

Hi Art. How about we also call for the resignation of those senators who went on the record in support of the war when 911 happened? Just a thought.

Hey Art,

Have not heard from you in a log time, you have been missed. Well I read Rove is resigning, I am pretty sure there will be more to follow as evedence starts to pile up against them. They already made quite a killing from the mess they created. Let's just look,

190,000 Guns missing
Close to a half billiom dollars cash also missing.
and 3000 barrels of oil daily goes missing.

as we get closer to the end they will all be in Bush's corporate headquaters in the Middle East with the last laugh.
